What the hell is the UEFA nations league? Sounds like a ton of bullshit to me. Aren't players already hijacked enough by real international commitments? So now they are adding pretend tournaments? Joke. Waste of time.

It's not that hard. Win your group, get promoted. Come bottom, get relegated. Win the top group, go to a 4-team competition to play for the trophy.
There's a whole thing that ties in with Euro/World Cup qualification which is where it does get complicated, but really that's all you need to know.
I really like it, it gives meaning to games that would otherwise have been pointless friendlies and gives teams a chance to play competitive matches against teams of their level, rather than the constant mismatches that the qualifiers provide.

I guess if it cuts down on pointless friendlies then that's a good thing, but I can't work up the energy to really care about.
