The black hole in finances will be lack of access to single market for British companies, meaning shrinking profits meaning less money into the treasury.
Our ludicrous taxation levels are the reason for decreasing flows to the treasury. Nobody can breathe without being taxed. Therefore there is very little life in the economy.

Ideally get rid of government if you want a vibrant economy. Or at least cut into it with genuine purpose. Then you'll see a dramatic increase in the fortunes of the nation. Instead, we see more government, more civil "servants" on lifelong handouts, more debt, more tax. It will inevitably collapse due to the maths. If we leave it to collapse by itself the pain will be far greater than if we act now.

I suspect this will be one divorce where the party making the payment won't fight too hard. Plenty of the settlement will be returned in brown envelopes I'm sure.

Because it'll be the poor and vulnerable paying for it through more cuts and austerity. Single mothers, the disabled, the elderly, the NHS, schools.

I saw an elderly lady on the news yesterday saying she boards the bus to get warm. To get warm! FFS! The fucking state of this country thanks to those Tory bastards.

Or the fact it's a 2 tiered system. One for the rich and one for the poor

The big companies get away with tax evasion and paying 4% tax. If me and you done that we'd get jail and a criminal record

Agree with that. Like the "£350m a week" it just sounds like a big, scary number. Stay in the EU for a few years and we'd have been paying that anyway.
As you say, the issue is we pay that money for access to the single market, without that it might well end up costing the economy significantly more.

And the Gov. have said will will be leaving the single market and the customs union.

Without SM and CU membership there must be a hard border in N. Ireland. The DUP have rejected that, so Gov. can't get that through Parliament.

    It's all an unsolvable mess.

Of course it will be the poorest that pay

The super rich pay politicians to keep them super rich.

The middle classes vote for politicians to ensure it's the poor that gets fucked hardest.

That's what politics is all about. Always has been. Always will be. Utterly corrupt and the majority knows it but will never stop voting for these bastards.

Hell, they even vote for Tories
