Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes, have stepped forward to cover the cost of a nine-year-old boy's cancer treatment.
Having been told by doctors that there was nothing more they can do for their child, Nuhazet's parents decided to make one of their son's dreams come true by taking him to a game at the Santiago Bernabeu last month.
Ronaldo and Mendes met the boy, who hails from Las Palmas, after the match and immediately offered to foot the bill for a consultation at one of the Spanish capital's top medical facilities.
"In the hospital, they gave us three options: do nothing, carry out experimental tests or send a biopsy to the United States so they could produce personalised medication," Nuhazet's father explained to AS.
The boy's family are now awaiting the arrival of said "personalised medication".
