133-2. Pretty even, but I think SL will be the happier, despite the low-ish run-rate
Unless we have an insane day like Lord's 2005, this one is going for a draw.
I think 4 full days (a day for each innings) is a fair enough time for a result on an English wicket (although some grounds are better batting tracks than others). Cardiff's a decent wicket though.
In any case, draw is the likely outcome also partly because it's supposed to piss down again tomorrow. Murali and Malinga having retired surely must have weakened the Sri Lankan bowling attack considerably. I don't fancy their chances of taking 20 wickets a test match against England.
WTF has happened to Mendis? Is he injured or is he just shit now?
207-4 at lunch
Anderson and Tremlett got the 2 wickets this session
From Anonymous (please remember to stick your name on your texts): "Last summer we were coasting to a win needing eight more, a mate of mine needs two for his maiden century but the captain who had been in for 40 overs and scored 17 suddenly decided now was the time to accelerate and promptly hit two boundaries to stop my mate from getting the century."
243-5 at the moment, Anderson just got Samaraweera.
