May we never see her like again
That was one of the most shameful political campaigns ever inflicted, literally their closing pitch was them screaming fear and loathing from all their corporate captured platforms - the campaign of "joy" indeed. Don't really care what Trump does now, it'd be better if he did nothing at all. It's the things he won't do that is a win and a restoration for humanity. He should spend the next 4 years ensuring Vance is in the strongest possible position to win 48 and 49 and put these neocons and their lunatic stunt doubles away for a generation.

Whether this is blatant fabrication; unsustainable on analysis or simply soundbites does not matter. We saw this with the Brexit vote.

That said, the democrats in the US, and even Labour here to a degree have become an intellectual elite; rooted in the past/the establishment and unable to see beyond their own political bubble. Voters think that disruptors who speak plainly are the route out of the malaise we are seeing with Western democracy. It's obvious that many politicians have lost the ability to understand the public mood...Trump's talent is that he understands this much better than anyone else.
The US has a very different political landscape. The result had little to do with an incumbent that has been missing anyway, and a replacement that couldn't win a vote from within her own party. This result is much more like the "white van man" revolution in the UK, powerful and taken for granted voting blocks, the blacks, the latinos, the unions, have been broken and are fleeing not 4 years of abuse and failure but 4 decades. Even a good segment of the newly imported, supposedly democrat voters, jumped ship, because they don't want to escape one failed state to see another built around them. This is far more important and profound than the careless idiocy of the last UK election.

Can I assume now that the non existent global catastrophe you’ve been sweating spinal fluid about, for however fucking long, has been presumably averted that you’ll stop doing that whole “are you talking about mundane things whilst the fate of the world is dangling on the precipice?” Shtick

Or will another intrusive thought become fleshed out to the point where you start chiding complete strangers for not taking you seriously again?

Must be interesting being David Lammy this morning. His unprofessionalism and radicalism has come home to roost.

    Why particularly this morning ?

He’s been in the job almost four months, and every single day he’s been an unmitigated embarrassment to this country. So why today would cause him to be self reflective I don’t know

I note you didn’t highlight the Trump numbers which also rose massively
The turnout in 2016 was about 55%
In 2020 is was nearly 63%
    Hope that helps.

I note you ignored the fact that when Biden won the Democrats lost the Senate. Did they forget to steal that part? Whoopsie!

They think we're stupid and wouldn't notice.
