Seriously? The campaigns control the US media?

I wouldn't say they control the media, but FOX are clearly and unashamedly pro Republican, MSNBC are clearly and unashamedly pro Democrat.
They don't just report the news, they both constantly spout propaganda for the side they support. Whether they are paid to do so is not really relevant, the end result is whoever you support you can find a new source which constantly tells you what you want to hear and reinforces your beliefs. I happen to think that's a bad thing.

First of all the Church Committee’s remit was only to look at abuses of power starting in the 1970s and all three people I referenced started their careers much earlier. And it was focused generally on the intelligence agencies general abuse of power in terms of surveillance and propaganda rather than simply media infiltration.

But it’s nice to know how you’ve taken that and run with it to make the assumption that all mainstream American media was under the control of US intelligence. I somehow doubt Cronkite’s invectives against the Vietnam war would have been approved by the Pentagon.
That and the fact that the Church committee was based on press revelations about Intelligence activity

You are asking me to give you a hyperlink to some corporate controlled "source" that confirms your second hand beliefs, and if I don't give you that then around we go again. Have you never heard of a book, dude? Or a court transcript? Or Hansard? Or any of those things that aren't first run through a media filter?
