The Swedish authorities had no interest in extraditing him on elsewhere, the whole nearly ten years in an Ecuadorean embassy (where even they got sick of him in the end) was in my view someone trying to avoid consequences of his own behaviour.

He will no doubt re-surface and spin everything to make himself a victim and sell books, and do podcasts and appear on shows etc…the grift never ends with people like that. And when presumably there will be plenty of credulous people ready to buy his claim of victimhood

I don’t really understand things like Twitter, Instagram, etc.
This is a bit simplistic but to me they just do subsets of what Facebook already does.

Facebook was in many ways when it started, an amalgamation of MySpace and Friends Reunited

Twitter is more antagonistic engagement and less pictures of your family holidays

I think the community note is good for flagging bullshit (the one positive thing Elon has done)


Instagram is more pictures and funny dog/cat videos (so tends to have more of a female skew)


I don’t use TikTok because it’s a Chinese data mining tool.

I don’t use TikTok because I’m a grown up.
Functionality wise, the others don’t do anything that FB doesn’t do.
But I guess you could say that other message boards do the same as this one but each one has its own feel.

Threatened to smash my glasses into my mums face. Make it make sense. I was tempted to say “you might find that a bit difficult” but I think engaging with him wasn’t worth it. I wouldn’t mind he was standing directly in my way, and seemed to be annoyed that he had to move.

He was well into his fifties by the look of him, beyond me that anyone would act like that at that age.
