Another account has been opened breaking injunctions on Twitter
Most are just kiss-and-tell ones involving some England internationals. One involving a theft of £22m from an inheritance, while the thief is also also alleged to be a paedo...
I tried it but didnt really see the point? Aside from the obvious attention seeking benifit what is the upside?
Seriously i assume there must be a huge one as so many people use it but i just dont get it?

It's not just the "what I just ate" aspect on this one. That's what FaceBook is mainly used for, it seems, but twitter is good because you can follow journalists, automated news sources, football sources (such as Arseblog), music sources etc.
You can follow celebs, some of whom just write the "What I just ate" sort of tweets, and they're a bit boring. That's following people just because they're famous. Good example is Simon Pegg. Like him, but his tweets are boring as fuck. Just explaining what he's doing on a day-to-day basis.
Some journalists tweet what happens at protests in real-time, or at press conferences. One tweeter was a neighbour of Osama when the helicopters were landing and was sharing that as it was happening. A lot of good Arsenal-tweeters are out there too. Some journos from major newspapers, some bloggers (goonblog, younggunsblog, arseblog) who have up-to-date news as well as links to their blogs.
