I’m not in favour of scrapping either, but there does need to be reform. Hopefully the semi automatic offside technology used in the World Cup should speed up the process for goals (I think that’s the worst thing VAR has done for the game, it’s ruined the spontaneity of goal celebrations)

But if you look at decisions last night like the overturned penalty against Chelsea, it would have been an outrage for that to stand.

There needs to be less left up to interpretation

"However, Scholes did admit: "We are doing too many checks, we're taking too long in doing them as well. It's to a degree understandable, given the level of scrutiny these guys are under. But the reviews are taking too long and it's affecting the flow of the game and we're extremely aware of that and the need to improve that speed while always maintaining the accuracy.""

The length of time is a symptom of obsessiveness on behalf of VAR - they just need to stick to the rule that if it's not quickly 'clear and obvious' that it's the wrong decision it should be left to stand

personally I'll take our chances on that

Exactly that. Just deal with the obvious stuff, leave the rest alone.
Which does mean the "equaliser" at WHL would have stood, but fine. We'd have some go for us too.

Var is not the problem, it was fine in the World Cup,

It’s the clowns at PGMOL. They should be abolished

VAR has done nothing about all the on-pitch assaults on our players recently so we'd not be losing much

Bayern Munich were overtaken by Stuttgart after losing 4-2 after taking a two nil lead against Hoffenheim

In the grand scheme of things it means very little but still

Leverkusen went the league season unbeaten

They’ve got the Europa league final on Wednesday and German Cup final next Saturday, avoid defeat in those and they’ve got an entire season being undefeated in all competitions.

    Also De Zerbi leaving Brighton

You wonder if the some of the lustre he gained last season has worn off, Brighton had pretty poor season all in all especially towards the end.

That means Kane misses out on playing in the German Supercup.

Exactly. The overt bias in the last few games, especially that spud game. VAR come in on the big decisions, but the hundred small decisions are what swing the play. But so what. It's normal. Been going on for decades. The only way to sort it out is to ban professional players and go back to amateur sport. Then you get ACTUAL sport and not what we are seeing today. Which is why the Olympics ramping up prize money for incredibly greedy fucks is such good news. Sport? If it's on the telly it's not sport. It's something else.

Rashford not in the Euro 2024 squad
He's been patchy at best this season, so fair enough I reckon.
