Hunt isn't even a politician, he is just someone who knows the right people and knows his place......you can't blame him for handling this situation badly because he hasn't handled it at all. To do that you'd need initiative and a normal level of human intelligence.....he's always been a good sponge for Cameron.
And frankly whilst Corbyn occupies the position on the other side of the House, Hunt could take selfies after setting fire to Children's Hospitals and it wouldn't damage the governments future prospects.

tbf that's only because the average punter is so stupid. You could piss in their face and they'd open their mouth in gratitude.

Listen I know you like Corbyn and respect the fact that he's honest about things, but honestly? His opinions aside you actually think he's anything other than a waste of space. The guy comes across as what he should be a retired sociology lecturer from a former polytechnic.
I don't agree with his views anyway but whatever smears fair or unfair made against him, if he had an iota of guile, intelligence and a vision for selling his ideas you'd think he would be doing somewhat better.

I wasn't talking about Corbyn. I'm talking about the system in general, a system that allows a pass-around public school bitch to run an economy or an ignoramus to preside over healthcare. Allegedly. Because anyone with an ounce of intelligence knows it is the permanent, unelected government that actually runs things (for their mates) whereas these puppet politicians are just there to distract the piss drinkers.

I'm not encouraged by Corbyn because of his policies - he'll be able to make just as much difference inside the broken and corrupt system as you or I could. I'm interested in the fact some of the piss drinkers have started to notice something is up. Finally, I mean how obvious does it have to get? There's a very subtle shift in the tide. Corbyn is an expression of that.

As and aside, I hope somebody has the means and wherewithal to bottle what is happening in football right now and somehow leverage and cultivate the tenuous consensus that is developing. It could go to so many places. It has been done before, several times.

Well, they'll have to have a debate about it. The pressure on him is building. He's massively out of his depth.

They may shuffle the chairs around a bit and poor old Jeremy might have to remove himself to a comfy boardroom where he'll still have credibility because he has access. But in terms of anything useful happening, your're right. In this strange democracy where the vast majority want a National Health Service and already pay through the nose for it - nothing will happen. Privatisation will continue full steam ahead.

    1. The vast majority wants the NHS
    2. The government wants to privatise it
    3. This is a democracy where the government is supposed to represent the will of the majority
    4. The government will do whatever the fuck it is told to do by a tiny majority
    5. The practical definition of democracy is therefore...

You will still get people saying, "At least we live in a democracy." It's bizarre.

Hillary Clinton crushed Bernie Sanders in the South Carolina primary and immediately turned to potential battles ahead as she offered a vision for America based on “love and kindness” in stark contrast to the anger and division promoted by Donald Trump.
Horrifying threat to world peace is unbelievably taking shape. Despite the history of this vile creature being increasingly exposed the Democrats have set the stage so she runs virtually unchallenged. The Republicans will likely bend the rules out of recognition to throw the last of their stooges onto the convention floor to derail the populist Trump. Clinton could gain the Whitehouse and that would leave the way open for another decade of war. The only grace is the military hate her even more than the morally amputated scumbag she's "married" to. But still, could America really be this dumb?
