We go through this each time (well ok we've only done it twice) we go through an upgrade. Sucks the big one. Upgrade but lose users.

This is why I don't see the point in upgrades. Always seems to cause issues although it may be coincidence in this case and we can test as much as we like but you can't reproduce the load of people using the system and seeing how the site performs (well, you can with testing tools, but we don't).
