I just think GW is shit these days. There is no one posting... I think the move to the new GW has been as successful as Arsenal's move to Emirates! I come here coz I dont have any other interest than Arsenal.

There was nothing wrong with the old board but moving gave us more power.
Unfortunately with great power comes great responsibility and it does mean if there are issues we need to sort them out ourselves.

Overall vBulliten is better than Invision and there are new features in the new version which provide tighter integration with FB which, given how ubiquitous FB is, gives us more scope for attracting new members.

This is why I don't see the point in upgrades. Always seems to cause issues although it may be coincidence in this case and we can test as much as we like but you can't reproduce the load of people using the system and seeing how the site performs (well, you can with testing tools, but we don't).

The thing is though - upgrades for this sort of software is very important to prevent even worse issues.

As mentioned earlier though, I don't see this being upgrade related as we should have seen this impact much sooner! I'm having a look at the server and the database now and I'll make some changes to see if we can speed up the forum.
