Very honest assessment from Federer. The fact that he needed a back massage between the second and third set against Kohlscreiber would have sent alarm bells ringing. His back hand was no where near as effective as it was in Melbourne
For him to have won the US open and his third grand slam of the year would have been an unprecedented achievement given his age. I think he can be rightly proud of the season he's had....especially ending his Nadal hoodoo in the AO final
Del Potro is a tricky opponent but unfortunately (and I say unfortunately as I'm not a massive Nadal fan) this appears to be Nadals tournament to lose. Del Potro beat him in the Rio Olympics but in a best of five sets match it will be too much for him I suspect.

Keys v Stephens final at 21:00.
Stephens has been amazing since her return recently and she has the more solid game. Although keys has the bigger weaponz.
Nadal v Anderson tomorrow.

Anderson is saving plenty of break points but he's going to go at some point, surely?

My prediction .
But yeah, if Anderson somehow gets to a tie-break it will be a miracle.

Nadal does break, 4-3 in the first.
Terrible miss from Anderson to give it away.
