This is why I don't see the point in upgrades.

This is not a site which is a target for hackers, we're too small, we're under the radar.
We have never had any issues because we've not been up to the latest version of vBulliten.

Obviously I get the point of upgrades but every time we've done an upgrade (admittedly only a couple of times) it has caused issues which have pissed people off and it's been more trouble than it's worth. It may just be co-incidence this time though as the problem didn't initially show itself.

The thing is though - upgrades for this sort of software is very important to prevent even worse issues.

As mentioned earlier though, I don't see this being upgrade related as we should have seen this impact much sooner! I'm having a look at the server and the database now and I'll make some changes to see if we can speed up the forum.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

We thought it was going to be a great move and were sold the idea of a World Class forum with World Class features, instead we're losing our best posters and they're being replaced by nobodies!
