Really we've signed him? Didn't see this coming...
I know it's not exciting, but he is a good player and will definitely add something to this team.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.
Sheesh!
Make 2mrw better than 2day
Excellent timing - it's completely wiped out Özil's interview from all of the news feeds.
Nice one, Willian - already pulling your weight
I daresay it'll turn out that this is costing us a fair bit (it's another Kia deal, so there's no way this is cheap), but I just hope it's structured as a big signing on fee with lower wages - makes him easier to shift to Qatar in year 3, if his fitness suddenly takes a nose-dive!
In the meantime, welcome to club! I expect he'll prove a smart signing and will add qualities we lack in the short-term at least, and he fits that modern profile of player where he can be play to a high standard in 3, maybe 4, different roles. Hopefully he'll also buy us a valuable year or two to really develop the likes of Saka, Martinelli and Smith Rowe in the same areas of the side, whilst taking a bit of pressure off of their shoulders. If there's not going to be any resale value on Willian, then we have to use him to make sure we get maximum value out of our younger players.
Black Eyed Peas
I used to think Willian was one of the very best players in the PL, don't know if that's still true but he'll certainlt need to show some real application to prove to fans he's not just going to take the money and coast
I would/will be far more excited if/when Arsenal get rid of a few players.
Elneny
Mickey
Fairycake especially.
Maybe some others.
Glad we've got this done. He's kind of a bonus signing, all of the club's attention should be on sorting out our midfield and defense.
