    I'm unsure of the rules on these sorts of things.

    If you record something off your tele on a camcorder, you can watch it but you can't let anyone else watch it. But if you have people 'round, and they watch it, that's fine. If you go to the cinema, you can't record it on a camcorder - but technically, that should be within your rights as long as you don't share it with anyone.
